Surfside Pedestrian Beach
 
Located on the west side of Surfside Beach.  This area has been set aside for beach visitors to enjoy the beach without interference from vehicles.   Portable restrooms are located along the beach.  Off-beach parking is permitted adjacent to the beach.  Entrance fees.

Vehicular traffic is permitted on beach east of 332 (Drive-On Beach).  Golf carts are permitted on the Drive-On Beach.

The Pedestrian Beach west of Starfish is closed to vehicular traffic (including golf carts) at all times. Free parking on the beach is located between 332 and Starfish.

All vehicles driving on the beach (including golf carts) must purchase an annual beach pass and display a beach pass on the front left of their wind shield.

Speed limit on the beach is 15 miles per hour.

The Drive-On beach allows two-way traffic and parking at the water’s edge and at the dunes. On major Holidays and weekends, or during very high tide the Chief of Police may determine that one-way traffic and/or temporary beach closure is necessary.

All terrain vehicles are not allowed on the beach. Any vehicle that is not street licensed is not legal. Licensed and insured golf carts are permitted on the Drive-On beach.

The dunes are protected by City, State, and Federal laws. They are strictly off-limits to both pedestrians and vehicles.

Horses are not allowed on the beach from May 15 through Sept. 15. They are allowed on the weekdays from April 1 through May 15 and Sept. 15 through Oct. 31. They are then allowed every day on the beach from Nov. 1 through Mar. 31.

Camping is NOT permitted on the beach within the Village of Surfside City Limits.

Camp fires are permitted, so long as they are under control and no bigger than 3’ x 3’. Christmas trees and sand fence are for erosion control and cannot be burned.

No fireworks of any kind are allowed on the beach or in the city limits.

NO GLASS CONTAINERS ON THE BEACH.

Keep sound systems at a volume that doesn’t bother your neighbors.

State of Texas alcoholic beverage law prohibits public consumption of alcoholic beverages from 2:00 am Sunday morning until 12 noon Sunday.

Dogs brought to the beach are to be kept on a leash.

No Littering.

 No generators are permitted on the beach
